Editorial & Accuracy Policy
How the content on this site is written, sourced, and kept honest — including the things I refuse to publish.

Who writes this site
Everything on https://fitwithmeghan.com is written by me, Meghan Mangalinao, a personal trainer and fitness coach based in North Dallas. There's no content team and no ghostwriters. Service pages describe how I actually run sessions; blog posts come from the questions clients and prospective clients ask me, answered the way I'd answer them in person.
Sourcing standards
Fitness is full of confident claims with nothing behind them. My rule is simple: every statistic, guideline, or health claim on this site cites a primary source, linked inline and listed in a "Sources" section at the end of each blog post with the date I accessed it.
Sources I rely on:
- U.S. Department of Health & Human Services — Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans
- Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
- National Institutes of Health, including the National Institute on Aging
- Certifying bodies: American Council on Exercise (ACE), National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA)
- Peer-reviewed research
- For pricing context: named, dated marketplace and industry-survey sources
I don't cite content farms, AI-generated aggregators, or other trainers' marketing pages as sources. If a claim can't be sourced, it's cut.
Experience-based content
Some of what I write is based on my coaching experience rather than published research — how sessions typically progress, what beginners usually feel in week two, which habits tend to stick. That content is written in the first person and framed as observation ("what I see with clients"), not as a statistic. I don't dress experience up as data.
Local information
Parks, trails, and other local details on my service area pages are verified against the relevant city's official parks pages (or a comparable authoritative source) before publication. I don't list landmarks I haven't confirmed exist.
What I never publish
- Fabricated testimonials or reviews. If this site shows a client story, it's real, shared with written permission, and attributed accurately. Right now the business is new and there are no published testimonials — that's on purpose.
- Invented results, statistics, or "average client" numbers.
- Credentials I don't hold. Certification and qualification details appear on the about page only once they're confirmed and current.
- Guarantees. No promised pounds, inches, or timelines.
- Medical advice. I'm not a healthcare provider. Content here is educational; talk with your physician before starting an exercise program.
Affiliate relationships and sponsorships
None. This site has no affiliate links, sponsored posts, or paid placements. If that ever changes, the affected page will say so clearly at the top.
Photography
Until I have my own session photography, the site uses licensed stock photography from Pexels for illustrative purposes. Stock images are never presented as me, my clients, or my sessions — image descriptions say what the photo actually shows. Photo credits are kept on file.
Update cadence
- Every content page shows a "last updated" date.
- Blog posts are reviewed at least every 12 months, or sooner when cited guidance changes.
- Pricing and service details are reviewed whenever they change.
- Location pages are reviewed quarterly.
Corrections
If you find an error — a broken source, an outdated guideline, a park that's closed — email hello@fitwithmeghan.com. I'll verify and correct it, and note material corrections on the page.
