Personal Trainer in Richardson, TX — In-Home, Outdoor & Online
One-on-one coaching at your Richardson home, on the trails at Breckinridge Park or Spring Creek Nature Area, or online. Strength, weight loss, and beginner-first training for adults.

Personal training in Richardson, without a gym membership
Richardson is the southern end of my regular route, just below Plano. If you live anywhere in Richardson — the established neighborhoods in the west and central parts of the city, the areas near UT Dallas, or the eastern side near Breckinridge Park — I'll come to your home with everything we need.
How Richardson clients train with me:
- In your home. Adjustable dumbbells, kettlebells, bands, a mat, and sliders come with me. Apartments work fine; so do garages and backyards. See in-home personal training.
- At a Richardson park. Outdoor sessions from roughly October through May, early mornings in summer.
- Online. Custom programming, weekly check-ins, and live video sessions. See online coaching.
Outdoor training spots in Richardson
Richardson has 450-plus acres of open space and 91 miles of trails and walkways (per the Richardson Convention & Visitors Bureau). The spots I plan sessions around:
Breckinridge Park. Richardson's largest park, with multi-use trails, pavilions, playgrounds, athletic fields, and a 10-acre lake. There's enough open lawn for a full outdoor session and enough trail — including a long loop around the park — for a serious warm-up walk or an interval session. Weekday mornings are quiet.
Spring Creek Nature Area. More than 100 acres of hardwood forest with paved trails and natural overlooks. It's shaded, which matters in Texas — a good choice for spring and early-fall sessions when other parks are already too hot by mid-morning. Also a beautiful place for the between-session walks I'll ask you to do.
Galatyn Park Woodland Preserve and Prairie Creek Park. Smaller green spaces (Prairie Creek is known for its waterfall) that work well for daily walks if you live nearby.
Off-day walking routes in Richardson
Richardson has 91 miles of trails and walkways, per the city's visitors bureau, so daily walking between sessions is easy to fit in. Routes my Richardson clients use:
- Breckinridge Park loops — the park's multi-use trails around the 10-acre lake and through the open areas; a full loop of the park is a long walk, a lake loop is a short one.
- Spring Creek Nature Area — paved trails through more than 100 acres of hardwood forest, with natural overlooks. Shaded, which makes it the best summer option in the city.
- Galatyn Park Woodland Preserve — a boardwalk through the woodland; short, quiet, and good for a lunchtime reset if you work nearby.
- Prairie Creek Park — a small park known for its waterfall; a pleasant short walk with kids.
For most Richardson clients the plan is simple: a morning or evening loop near home on off days, Spring Creek on weekends when it's warm, and a step target that fits a desk-based day.

Who I work with in Richardson
Beginners. If you've never trained or it's been years, your first session is an assessment where I watch how you move and build the plan from there. See beginner fitness.
Women who want a female trainer. Most of my practice is women learning to lift, privately, from a woman. Read about training for women.
Busy professionals. Richardson's Telecom Corridor keeps a lot of people at a desk until 6. I hold early-morning and evening in-home slots. More at training for busy professionals.
Adults 40+. Two coached strength sessions a week is the most protective habit for muscle, bone density, and balance.
A sample outdoor session at Breckinridge Park
A 60-minute outdoor session at Breckinridge Park, so the idea is concrete:
- Warm-up (8 minutes): a brisk walk along the trail near the lake while we check in on your week.
- Movement prep (5 minutes) on an open patch of lawn: hip and shoulder mobility, bodyweight squats, reaches.
- Strength block (30 minutes) from the equipment bag: goblet squats, kettlebell deadlifts, walking lunges, band rows anchored to a post, farmer's carries.
- Finisher (5–8 minutes): an interval walk on the trail loop.
- Cool-down (5 minutes): stretching on the mat, a note on your walks.
In warmer months, Spring Creek Nature Area's shaded paved trails are the better choice — the tree cover keeps morning sessions comfortable weeks longer than open parks.
Training around a Richardson schedule
Richardson has a mix I enjoy coaching: professionals from the Telecom Corridor, people connected to UT Dallas, and long-time residents in the city's established neighborhoods. Early-morning in-home slots suit the professionals; mid-morning and evening slots suit everyone else. Apartments are common in Richardson and work fine — a clear spot the size of a yoga mat is all a session needs, and I keep sessions quiet enough for shared walls.
What a personal trainer costs in Richardson
Few Richardson trainers publish prices, so here's the market context: Thumbtack's Dallas marketplace shows trainers charging about $35–$90 per hour, and My PT Hub puts the U.S. average at roughly $55 per session (both accessed September 2026). In-home training generally sits toward the middle-to-upper part of that range, offset by no gym membership and no commute.
With me, in-home and park sessions are priced per session with lower rates for weekly packages; online coaching is a flat monthly fee; hybrid plans combine one in-home session a week with online programming. Your exact rate is quoted at the free consultation and put in writing, based on session length, frequency, and where in Richardson you are. Beginners pay the same as everyone else, equipment is included, and rescheduling terms are agreed before you commit. More on the pricing page and in the Dallas cost guide.
